ChainLightning buggy?
Since 08/25 the following changed:
Chain Lightning: Increased cast time to 3 seconds; decreased damage to 10..85; changed recharge to 10 seconds; lowered maximum distance between targets
English isn't my native language, so where does it say, that the max.energy too is reduced by 10?
When my ranger fires ChainLighting not only is my energy reduced by 10 (which is quite expectable ), but the max.energy is reduced by 10 too.
Bug or feature?

Chain Lightning causes exhaustion, which drops your max energy for a while. Most of the other powerful elementalist spells do this.

Chain Lightning causing Exhaustion wasn't mentioned in those update notes because it already did that.

To be fair, I really think some of those should have been on the interface. For example, Quickening Zephyr should cause the energy cost displays to update with the new cost.

Since when?
I thought it was causing exhaustion on the target, not on yourself.
And based on my memory banks, chainLighning never caused that on the caster but only on the target.

There are no skills that cause exhaustion on a foe.
If you would ever play the game you would have noticed that.

LOL.
No, when a spell has 'causes exhaustion' in the description, it means it causes exhaustion on the caster, not the target. This is to prevent spamming meteor/meteor shower etc which would make ele's with 70-80 energy simply way too powerful.

Ok, I feel dumb enough already. Thanks.
Move this thread to noob- or dumb-stories.
To think, that my ranger has been using this spell for months, and I never noticed until yesterday makes me wonder, wether I might be scizophrenic. Some other "me" must've been playing and never told me.
Those multiple chars I play must've triggered some multiple-personality-thing in me.
